Classical Gas was established in 1983 by managing director Keith Pearson. Keith served a six year apprenticeship with British Gas before joining Hull City Council's newly established gas section in 1972, and from there became self employed. As a long established business we now boast one of the lowest GAS SAFE registration numbers in the country and work hard to keep up with changes in legislation.

As a company we are fully committed to the apprenticeship training program and currently have six apprentices at various stages on the program. Recognising the variety and complexity of the many gas appliances currently on the market our fully registered and qualified engineers are all time served and regularly attend manufacturer-based training courses as well as undertaking the regular assessments required by GAS SAFE.

In 2004 we moved the business from home to offices in New Village Road, Cottingham, which is where we are today.

As a customer you can be confident that you are dealing with a company who can boast a wealth of experience and expertise. We have a reputation to maintain and protect.

In response to our customers, we launched a new service during the summer of 2009, to offer a service and maintenance scheme which could be paid monthly or annually in advance and would cover eventualities following a failure of heating or hot water. This scheme has grown steadily over the years and continues to be in demand. The emergency cover is genuinely 24/7 - and yes - we have been called out on Christmas Day!!

For total peace of mind see the Classical Gas Careplan page. - now with electrical, plumbing and drainange covers available.

In 2012 with an increasing requirement for electrical services we directly employed our own time-served, experienced electrical engineer. This department now employs two full time electricians with their own apprentice, and a third electrician soon to join them.

As time marches on, slowly but surely the business is being taken over by Keith's two sons - Kris and Arron - ensuring continuity of service and up to date knowledge of current technologies and practices for our much valued customers - some of whom have been with us since the very beginning!

We are always grateful for any work opportunities, whether they be from other businesses or private individuals, but it is the loyalty of our private customer base which has kept us going through difficult trading times, and we will never lose sight of this.
